PBS NewsHour:

Whether you're killing time in line at Starbucks or scrolling through an endless meme stream on Twitter, your smartphone is trying to seduce you. Former Google employee Tristan Harris felt something needed to be done to combat tech designers' relentless efforts to influence our behavior. Special correspondent Cat Wise talks to Harris as part of a collaboration with The Atlantic.

My final thoughts

I think cell phones are addictive. You mobile device is your music streaming device, you watch movies on it, and even browse the internet. You can shop for anything on it, and even get food delivered too you.

One of my takeaways from someone thats close to me is. You put your phone down when out on a date. The levels of improved intimacy once you remove distractions are unprecedented. Rather you enjoying the evening with love ones, or beginning to learn someone new. Put your phone down, and be on the moment!
