Matt Barnes speaks against media

I think sports media is similar to other genre's of journalism. The main goal is to distract, and have a desired emotional reaction. The end goal is to build storylines that transitions to debates that never ends. Some of the key points Mr Barnes mention are:


-Some reporters do their work, and others will piece things together and at the right time drop a story.

-The news media operations 24 hours a day, emphases on the need for them to create stories.

-There is a shortage of information to report.

-When news media don't have a source, don't believe them. Athletes rarely speak to media off the record.
